HISTORY

1995

A VEGETARIAN BEGINNING

A husband-and-wife team from Taiwan begins cooking and sharing traditional home-style dishes. When the demand outgrows their kitchen, Water Lilies Food formally opens its doors, manufacturing vegetarian foods from its 6,000 sq. ft. facility in Brooklyn, NY.

2000

USDA CERTIFIED

Gaining recognition for our unique products and flavors, demand expands outside of vegetarian products. Water Lilies becomes USDA certified.

2006

1ST RELOCATION & EXPANSION

We quickly outgrow our humble original location and relocate to a 48,000 sq. ft. facility, making Astoria, Queens our new home. At this new location, we also become USDA Organic Certified.

2008

AUTOMATION

Our first automated dumpling line is installed, giving us a boost in capacity.

PRIVATE EQUITY PARTNERSHIP

Water Lilies begins a new chapter with the backing of AUA Private Equity Partners, who shares the same philosophy and culture as Water Lilies.

2ND RELOCATION & EXPANSION
QUEENS TO LONG ISLAND

In June 2020, we move all of our equipment and head 40 miles east from our Queens location, and still retain close to 90% of our employees.

CONTINUED GROWTH

Water Lilies continues to grow with over 400 employees and 7 production lines.
